Hell Let Loose Update 20 Hotfix 1 Now Live, Addresses DX12 Crashes and Juno Beach Issues
Team17 and Cover 6 Studios have released Update 20 Hotfix 1 for Hell Let Loose, bringing a range of fixes following the launch of the major Update 20 release.
The hotfix arrives after players spent the past week exploring the new Juno Beach map, testing the Canadian Forces, and getting hands-on with the game's significant armor rework. Developers have thanked the community for the extensive feedback submitted since the update launched.
DirectX 12 Crash Fix Implemented
One of the most significant issues addressed in Hotfix 1 is the DirectX 12 crash affecting some players using AMD graphics cards.
As a temporary solution, the developers have reverted the game's frontend to the version used in Patch 19.1 while they continue investigating the root cause of the crashes. The newer Update 20 frontend will return in a future update once the issue has been fully resolved.
Additional Fixes Included
Hotfix 1 also delivers a number of community-requested fixes, including:
-
Improvements to Juno Beach visuals and environmental elements
-
Frontend bug fixes
-
DLC-related fixes
-
Newsfeed improvements
-
Canadian Forces content fixes
-
Stability improvements and crash mitigation
The update focuses on addressing the most pressing issues reported by players since Update 20 launched while ensuring the new content remains playable and stable.
More Fixes Already in Development
The development team has confirmed that work is already underway on Hotfix 2, with investigations continuing into additional community-reported issues.
Players are encouraged to continue sharing feedback and bug reports as the team works to refine Update 20 and improve the overall experience.
GLN Take
It's encouraging to see the developers respond quickly to community feedback following one of Hell Let Loose's largest updates. The temporary rollback of the Update 20 frontend may not be the ideal long-term solution, but it should provide welcome stability for affected AMD users while the underlying issue is investigated.
With Hotfix 2 already in development, players can expect further adjustments and fixes in the coming weeks as Team17 and Cover 6 continue refining the Update 20 experience.
